Victory Adds to First Homecoming – Page 11

Even the weatherman cooperated as mild autumn weather prevailed over the Homecoming events, making September 23 a perfect evening for football. Students formed a long tunnel along the 50-yard line to cheer and applaud the Titan team as it took to the field. Pre-game festivities succeeded in firing up the team for a 35-8 victory over Huntington North.

Wrapping up the ’77 Homecoming was a semi-formal dance featuring the group "Raz."

Homecoming co-chairman Stan Buck was pleased with the results, and afterward said, "I think it was an excellent effort by the student body, faculty, and administration to work together on a very successful and rewarding event."

As the weekend came to a close, students considered the successful first Homecoming as "only the beginning" and the start of a new Titan Tradition.
