Seniors Earn Their Stripes – Page 31

Four years of study came to a close as the Class of ’78 proved they had "earned their stripes" as students of Northside High School. Several en-of-the-year activities celebrated and honored their accomplishments.

A new tradition was begun when the Class of ’78 sponsored the first Senior Ball. Originally scheduled for January, the dance was postponed and finally took place in April at the Elk’s Country Club. Music was provided by the group "Raz."

The traditional senior tea was held in the library to honor the graduating class and their parents. Honors were bestowed upon many seniors during the annual Honors Program as academic awards were presented and recognition was given to scholarship recipients.

The senior class gathered for the last time before Commencement at the Senior Breakfast. After eating, gifts were presented, class awards were made, and the Class of ’78 left for rehearsal at Emens Auditorium.
