Music, swaying palms, and exotic flowers created the atmosphere of a lush, tropical paradise, as prom-goers enjoyed an evening on "Fantasy Island." The junior class, sponsors of the prom, chose the theme from a popular TV series.

Green Hills Country Club provided a perfect setting for the event. Candlelit tables near the pool offered a cool escape from the heat of the dance floor. Indoors, an ice-carved swan graced the refreshment table.

In the coronation ceremony, reigning queen Carey Tank made the long-awaited announcement and turned her crown over to Lisa Marsh. First-runner up was Melissa Bartels.

As the last strains of music faded, couples left Green Hills and headed for one of the numerous prom parties. And an evening filled with fantasies continued…
