1971 North Star - Prom Dancing
Lacking a technical senior class did not prevent the relatively small junior calss from planning and executing a successful prom to close out the school year. They requisitioned the school cafeteia, signed contracts for music, worked on decorations, and gained experience to plan their senior prom for next year. The girls were grateful to the Home Economics Department as they worked on their formals in sewing and felt a sense of pride in the final result of their seamstress skills. Boys found this an ideal time to supplement their wardrobes and examine rented tuxes and dinner jackets. The dance itself was just one segment of the activities as before and after parties contributed to the festivities.
